Cvalda

Cvalda is an abstract bass music producer/turntablist DJ/underground music culture promoter/sound artist from Chengdu, China. After years of immersing herself in the electronic music world, she has been influenced by 90s abstract hip hop, downtempo, minimal, jungle, and the sound system culture, forming her unique aesthetic of bass music. In recent years, she has begun to extend her reach into the field of sound art and live performances. In 2016, she joined the multimedia art project "3000" and performed live at the NUART Art Festival in Chengdu and The Shelter in Shanghai. In 2017, she joined the second exhibition of the 100KM art project with her sound installation work 'C'. In 2018, she started her personal project "100 Days Music Production Plan", while also giving live performances under the same name. In 2019, she launched the Dub/Dubstep live performance project " Verbal Agreement", with new singles debuting on RinseFM in the UK. In 2020, she was invited to participate in the first Asian live broadcast on the UK live streaming platform KeepHush, and was frequently recommended by the platform. In 2021, she collaborated with Singaporean artist Kent Chan on the exhibition "Let the music revolve again", which was exhibited at the Times Museum in Guangdong.
