Singer-songwriter Dana McCoy writes her music with the intent to make you feel like you’re already best friends. Her music is intimate and draws inspiration from artists she listened to growing up in Maryland - Prince, Leslie Gore, TLC, Patti Labelle - and her favorite contemporaries like Solange, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and Chloe x Halle. McCoy crafts messages that remind herself and listeners that vulnerability should be celebrated and self-love, cherished. In her own words, she explained… “I just want music and art to be a landscape where people can find different aspects of themselves and not feel like they have to play a certain role.” Over her past releases, she has been recognized by blogs like Fashionably Early, Early Rising, A1234, We Found New Music and The Wild Honey Pie. Her latest single, “Night After Night”, was featured on Spotify’s Butter, Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds: The Wave playlists and has reached 1 million+ streams. In 2021 she moved out to Los Angeles and collaborated with close friends for her debut EP, ‘To Those Who Wait’ which was released in September of 2022.
