Dim Pinks is an indie rock band from Amsterdam, capturing life’s ups and downs and everything in-between (formerly The Killjoys). With their 2026 debut EP Universe, they explore themes of existential confusion, intimacy and resistance, placing everyday themes against a cosmic backdrop. Across its songs, fridges are left open, graves turn out to be surprisingly roomy, and solitude becomes both a refuge and a manifestation of the divine. Universe captures a restless desire to belong everywhere at once, singing in a church, dancing in a club, hugging your nan, shooting into space, while questioning the origins and purposes of these desires. The EP "Universe" is released on March 27, 2026, preceded by the singles “Universe” (February 13) and “Solitude” (March 5). Dim Pinks are Iris (vocals/guitar), Peter (vocals/guitar), Randy (bass), and Tom (drums). Music and lyrics for Universe are by Iris, with arrangements by Iris, Peter, Tom, and former bassist Stephan. EP artwork is by Christine Elzinga, design by Iris. The hand-painted animation for the music video was created by Una Jongenelis. The mask on Solitude by Chi. Photography by André Homan.
