Νοσταλγικός καλλιτέχνης italo disco
Giuseppe Savoni is an Italian disco music scholar, producer, DJ and collector whose activity spans both the United States and Europe. His work has been featured in Vogue, The Guardian, Vanity Fair, and Saturday Night Live. A native of Puglia, Italy, he is currently based in New York. Savoni has cultivated a lifelong appreciation for disco music, which started when his babysitters would make him tag along to local discothèques and disco-themed nights in his native Puglia. Upon graduating from college in New York City, he started working as a producer in the realm of house music, and several of his tracks charted on Billboard. With his IG account @disco_bambino, he brought the artistry of Italian and Italo disco music, library music, and Italian film scores to an audience of 125k + followers that include some of the most relevant personalities in the fashion, art, music, design and film industries around the globe. His live dj sets include the fruits of his own meticulous sourcing of Italian disco, library music, and soundtrack music forgotten through the decades. Together with the art director and producer Giuseppe Giammetta, he devised a new format for his live shows, where he combines music with video projections featuring footage of 1970s and 80s Italian disco music performances and archival footage.
Disco Bambino specializes in reviving and curating obscure Italian disco, library music, and Italian film scores from the 1970s and 80s.
