Dutch Criminal Record are an indie surf band from Chichester on the south coast of the UK, whose signature sound is guitar-driven, energetic, and packed with nostalgia. They take influence from '60s giants' pop vocals while lacing each track with narratives of living in 21st-century Britain with blooming harmonies and dreamy instrumentation. DCR's debut album ‘Novium’, translated from the Latin for ‘Chichester’ (the band’s hometown), represents a culmination of all that the band have achieved up until this point and an opportunity to reflect on their roots and admire the growth. Known for their infectious melodies, glossy guitar chords and vibrant live energy, DCR offer a sun-soaked album that blends nostalgic indie surf vibes with a psychedelic, Gen Z twist. The DCR boys conceived the album as a love letter to themselves and we invite you to join in on the romance. Their music embodies heart-melting moments of captivating indie pop and glorious crescendos of shoegaze-y rock, taking you on a sonic journey through the highs and lows of growing up, affection and self-appreciation.
