El Caplan

El Caplan is a Los Angeles-born singer-songwriter and producer known for rich baritone vocals and reverb-soaked western guitars. Blending indie rock, roots rock, and Americana, his sound reflects his roots in an American session musician father and a Mexican mother from narco-run Culiacán, Sinaloa. A seasoned studio veteran, he's worked as a session musician and producer for Dr. Dre, J. Cole, and Anderson .Paak before stepping out as a solo artist. His debut EP, Our Lady, the Queen of Angels, co-produced by Grammy-winning producer Eddie Spear, who has worked with Zach Bryan and Sierra Ferrell introduced his cinematic storytelling as a solo artist. His versions of "Como La Flor" by Selena and "Y Volveré" by Los Angeles Negros landed on Spotify's New Music Friday Latin. “Joyride to the Moon,” from upcoming EP Cradle to the Grave, was written after a psychedelic journey in Malibu. The song turns fear into connection and resistance into love. For fans of Phosphorescent, Wilco, and The War On Drugs. He celebrated Our Lady with sold-out shows at Permanent Records Roadhouse and Eastside Luv, and will keep releasing music and performing throughout the Southwest in 2026.
