Fall To Pieces

Fall To Pieces is a metal project created by musician and lyricist Cody Riser, blending heavy emotional themes with modern metal and metalcore influences. The project began during a severe mental health crisis as a personal outlet for survival and self-expression. Before Fall To Pieces, Cody had 15 years of experience in music and was previously involved in rap circles connected throughout Los Angeles under the name Whyte Smoke and even collaborated with legendary Layzie Bone from Bone Thugs N Harmony. He later shifted toward heavier music to better express trauma, grief, rage, heartbreak, and inner conflict validating his emotions. The lyrics are deeply personal, drawing from real experiences including childhood trauma, foster care, gang involvement, surviving a 2018 drive-by shooting, PTSD, depression, anxiety, personal loss, and suicide attempts with the latest in 2025 where thoughts of his daughters stopped him from pulling the trigger. Cody writes all lyrics himself then mix and masters the tracks and uses AI-assisted production as a creative tool rather than a replacement for artistry. He also designs visual concepts and logos for the project. The overall identity of Fall To Pieces is dark, raw, vulnerable, and aggressive, combining emotionally heavy storytelling with modern metal aesthetics. Themes often revolve around: emotional collapse, betrayal, grief, toxic love, rage, redemption and feeling mentally fractured while still trying to survive.
