FAT SALAD are back, and hungrier than ever. The brotherly four-piece have quickly become one of the UK’s most exciting live acts, storming their first national festival at Kendal Calling, packing out venues across London and Sheffield, and delivering chaotic, communal energy wherever they play. The new single, “Lost It For a Minute’, captures the band’s next chapter. As front man Aydan explains: “Lost it for a minute describes the brief moment where your lose control completely. You lose the battle with your temper but you are still grasping for calmness.” Onstage, FAT SALAD shows are sweaty euphoria and unhinged theatre, where shirts vanish and fans throw salad around the room. “The shows have taken on a life of their own” adds guitarist Elliott Godden. “We’ve had people fly in from abroad just to be part of it. This single is us bottling that chaos in the studio.” Their music has been turning heads, with spins on Amazing Radio, Radio Reverb and Total Rock. Alongside this momentum, brothers Aydan and Elliott also host The FAT SALAD Podcast, a platform celebrating their vibrant independent scene. With their collaboration with Australian producer Solblue already hinting at a global outlook, FAT SALAD are stepping confidently into their next phase. “Lost It For a Minute” cements their reputation as more than another indie outfit – they’re building a movement of salad-throwing, joy-fuelled indie carnage that is spreading across London and farther afoot.
