Folk My Life

Folk My Life! are four young musicians who have dedicated themselves to traditional European dance music. Handmade, swinging, energetic! Their aim is to bring traditional German and Swedish dance music from the music archives back onto the stage and the dance floor. Whether beat-accentuated polonaises or groovy minuets, they are influenced by what has always shaped folk music; fashion and contemporary events. The music of Folk My Life consists of pieces from the huge 18th century dance music collection of the Dahlhoff family from Westphalia in Germany, pieces from the Swedish folk music tradition and self composed pieces.
