George Zervos

Born and raised on the island of Kalymnos in the ’90s, George Zervos grew up between the sounds of the Aegean Sea and the records of early rock ’n’ roll. His music moves between rock ’n’ roll, country, Americana, doo-wop, surf and rhythm & blues, blending Mediterranean storytelling with the spirit of American roots music. Whether writing original songs or reimagining traditional material, he is drawn to music that carries memory, movement and a strong sense of place. As the frontman of The Swingin’ Cats, George has spent years bringing audiences to their feet with high-energy performances inspired by the golden age of rock ’n’ roll and swing. Alongside that journey, he has developed a distinct solo identity rooted in songwriting, storytelling and the exploration of musical traditions. In 2026, he unveiled Anastasia, the first single from KALYMNION, his most personal project to date. Inspired by the rich musical heritage of Kalymnos, the album reimagines traditional island songs through a unique blend of Americana, country, surf rock, doo-wop and psychedelic influences. The result is a body of work that connects the stories of the Dodecanese with a contemporary roots music landscape. From island harbors and sponge-diving songs to dance halls and rock ’n’ roll stages, George Zervos continues to explore the meeting point between tradition and reinvention.
