Gur Liraz is a jazz guitarist born in Tel Aviv, where he came of age during the golden era of Israeli jazz. He studied at the prestigious Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts, majoring in jazz under the guidance of Ofer Ganor, Amit Golan, and others. He later moved to New York to study with guitar legend Peter Bernstein before settling in Berlin, where he is currently based. In 2023, he released his debut album with his organ trio on the London-based label Ubuntu Music. Today, Liraz performs regularly across Berlin, Tel Aviv, and Europe, collaborating with a wide range of projects and ensembles.
