In the year 2150, Halo Boy is a visionary artist and music producer in Los Angeles. Halo Boy stands out as one of the last authentic human artists in a cyberpunk world where every media channel is dominated by AI-generated content. Using relics of a forgotten age, he crafts his cutting-edge and experimental sound from the corrupted data of an analog past. His music pulls from fragments of 80s synth, 90s grunge, and Y2K pop and hip-hop salvaged from broken analog synths and ancient MP3 players. Beyond his own music, Halo Boy has contributed writing and production to several notable human-class artists within the system, including CIRCLE (Hades Technology Inc.), Au/Ra, as well as both A.Vi and BUBBLE (E.C.H.O.). While working for the corporate entertainment networks that now manufacture much of the planet’s media, Halo Boy quietly operates outside their control. He distributes his own work through underground channels while building a growing following of listeners searching for something real in a world increasingly filled with artificial noise.
