Heidy Tamme

Born in Uljanovsky, raised in Kalamaja, Heidy Tamme is one of Estonia's most brilliant stars in estrade and pop music. As a unique and extravagant performer, she has appeared on big stages, in films, and on television shows. From 1983 to 2007, she lived and worked in Finland, at the Helsinki Pop & Jazz Conservatory. The song "Neiu väike" (tr. “Little maiden”) is a cover of Australian Helen Reddy's "Angie Baby" (1974). With a beautiful string arrangement, Heidy Tamme's rendition of the song first appeared in 1980 on the compilation album "Eesti populaarset muusikat," put together by Jüri Lina and released by Terra Records for the III Esto Days held in Stockholm.
