holyguruu

holyguruu is an interdisciplinary creator at the intersection of film, fashion, high art, and music. Hailing from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, New York; their work blends indigenous Afro-Caribbean culture, punk, Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, anthropology, politics, and ambient influence into a landscape and lifestyle rather than a object to be consumed. Since arriving on the scene with their first LP (the self produced and independently released) "GOD COMPLEX." in 2021, holyguruu has consistently proven their ability to seamlessly deliver chaotic and controlled ballads to introspective and booming anthems (with the occasional eye opening rap verse), through refined penmanship and experimental music production. 2025's Chiiism sees holyguruu at the most vulnerable point of its existence (the sole feature being ROCKI OZAI), going in depth into topics such as familial trauma, mental health, love, drug consumption, and social politics. The accompanying fashion brand expounds upon the thesis of the album through anthropological influences and philosophical analysis.
