Hostmigrate

On Principle came together from over a year of production experiments, live performances, and rapid exposure to new music via southeast London's DJ scene. Hostmigrate's shrine of sound expands on this new album, 10 tracks informed as much by lush melodics as they are the sub-bass slam of night clubs across London. From driving breakbeats to spacey acid house to pulsing techno, this album sees the DJ and producer leaning into experiences behind the decks and between record store shelves. These tracks find Hostmigrate steadfast in the layering of diverse elements, creating evocative dancefloor music and always working on principle. Since emerging with a string of electronic EPs in late 2020, Hostmigrate's output has become steadily more dancefloor focused while maintaining a sense of experimentation. As a DJ, Hostmigrate is known for precise blends and deep knowledge, bringing a raver's energy and a producer's instinct to performances at Corsica Studios, Planet Wax, and elsewhere.
