House Above The Sun

House Above The Sun (HATS) are a five piece group from London, England, blending soulful Americana with melancholic, blues-tinged indie rock. From bittersweet balladry to intricate guitar based epics, their songs are distinguished by infectious guitar motifs, evocative lyrics, and rich vocal harmonies. Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Jim Moreton, the group’s comprises Ariel Moreton (backing vocals and percussion), Jack Neale (bass), Davide Mongirulli (drums), and Jo Griggs (backing vocals). The band’s critically acclaimed 2nd full length album, 'Restless Idealist', was released on 6th June 2025, marked by a special launch gig at the Slaughtered Lamb in Clerkenwell, London. 'This is a phenomenally classy album. Beautifully sung, superb tunes, lovely harmonies, and a welcome slightly edgy feel.
