Ian Mikyska

Ian Mikyska is a Czechoslovak composer based in Prague, mostly working outside concert music, making installations, texts, theatre, walks, radio, and video. Usually based on sound in some sense, the work I make often connects several media while repeatedly exploring connections between percept and concept, between ideas and present-moment experience, often pointing towards the impermanence and ephemerality of our being, ecological topics, meditative practices, and our experience of the everyday.
