“Shine your light, no matter how dark it may be” Icykal Icykal – Short Bio “Shine your light, no matter how dark it may be” Icykal Icykal (icicle) is a UK artist from South London. In 2012, Icykal and her partner in rhyme Laayie are a part of an all-female international rap collective called, ‘Call Me Femcee’. The collective has performed headline shows in St. Etienne, Paris, Lyon, Bilbao & San Sebastian in Basque Country. Icykal’s biggest achievements have been performing in Trafalgar square at 2 different events. The first was in 2010 performing in front of a crowd of 16,000 people at Euro Pride, all before she had released any music. Icykal then performed again at T. Square in 2016 at the Million Women Rise March in front of 10,000 people. Icykal will be recording a mixtape in Paris in July 22 with the rest of the collective as part of a distribution deal they have in France. Being a queer artist, Ice has also been a part of many creative projects in the LGBTQ+ scene and is featured in a film and panel discussion called “Moments that shaped Queer Black Britain” was aired on Channel 5 on 1st June 2022. Icykal is also an artist manager and currently manages; Boy Nash, Kings Cvstle and Zxphaniah. All socials - @icykal
