iLand

The iLAND band was founded by prominent figures in Hungary's music scene: Géza Pálvölgyi Péter Dorozsmai, Tamás Takáts, Gábor „Madi” Madarász, and Tamás Kontor. iLAND is a true supergroup that offers an uplifting progressive musical experience to everyone, including those who appreciate the music of past masters such as the Polish SBB, Pink Floyd, or Genesis. iLAND music features liberated guitar solos reminiscent of stadium concerts, three- to four-part vocals, and stirring drums, pulsating bass, piano runs, and the unmistakable sound of the Moog synthesizer. The band's first double CD/ LP from the 2020s reflects on the burning questions of our time. The first half of „A Sziget” (The Island) is a continuous, over 40-minute musical journey, a concept album worth listening to track by track, but its true depth unfolds when someone has the opportunity to listen to the entire album at once. The second disc is a live recording, a musical retrospective of the iLAND members' earlier band, East, and the decades spent together. East, formed over 40 years ago, was one of Hungary and Central Europe's defining progressive bands, with albums released across Europe and Asia. The visual appearance of iLAND is curated by József Szurcsik, one of Hungary's most renowned and internationally recognized painters, deputy rector of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, who designed both the stage presence and the cover of the first album.
