ILINCA

ILINCA is a Romanian singer who fuses Balkan and ethnic sounds with contemporary pop, crafting a vibrant “Balkan Pop” style rooted in world music fusion. Known for her powerful voice and distinctive yodelling technique, she first rose to fame in 2015 as a semifinalist on The Voice of Romania. Two years later, she represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, placing 7th in the Grand Final. In 2025, ILINCA released her EP Balkan Mama in collaboration with the Romanian band Gadjo Dilo – a project that reconnected her with her roots while reimagining traditional influences in a fresh, modern way. With her mix of authenticity and pop sensibility, ILINCA brings a unique Eastern European voice to today’s global music scene.
