INGRID HIDEKI is a multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin, originally from Crete, Greece. At the core of Ingrid´s artistic practise lies a fusion of visuals, sounds, music and performative elements. In her current work she adresses issues regarding queerness and fem liberation extrapolating both in the physical and digital realm. Her visual is also a mediums she uses to convey her message. Her aesthetic varies by style, focusing on a postmodern and graphic appearance with sharp lines and bold colors. Her second EP HETEROPHOBE released in October 2024 and mirrors her early adult musical and social references. HETEROPHOBE followed her first musical project called BIG BAD WOLF, that entailed the debut single Rotkäppchen, a metaphorical storytime on being different in a heteronormative society. The EP also included the sequel track Reclaim that featured the greek fem rapper Dolly Vara. The final track of the EP, Like a Girl explored her fem identity through the reclamation of every verbal attack a fem/queer subject can experience simply by existing. Prior to release, Ingrid participated at the Online Drag Contest V (ODC V, 25.03.2023) with the music video for "Like a Girl" and was awarded 1st place, acchieving a new record for the most points in the competition to date. The video also took home the price for Best Cinematography. The music video was then presented as an art installation at HGW Std. in Athens, Greece (31.03 - 01.04.2023), curated by Sokrates Stamatatos.
