Irie Maffia celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2020 – and those previous years were definitely eventful. They have been playing for a crowd of thousands at Europe’s biggest open-air entertainment centre, Budapest Park, and they are regular headliners at the most prestigious festivals by reason of being a supergroup of Hungary’s most distinctive musicians. Numerous songs of the band have been selected for TV and radio rotations, and they were behind 2015’s anthem of Sziget Festival with the song Easy as One Two Three. Irie Maffia toured all around Europe (Italy, The Netherlands, England, Slovakia, The Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, etc.) and even had great shows in New York. They also initiated a campaign to popularize CPR among the youth, in association with the Hungarian National Ambulance Service and Semmelweis University.
Irie Maffia plays an energetic fusion of reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, funk, and rock rooted in the Central European underground scene.
