Irma Neumüller

Irma Neumüller is a Swedish jazz vocalist and composer who writes music in both Swedish and English, where she gives new life to the traditional jazz sound with her personal touch. Irma Neumüller was born in 2001 in Stockholm and began her musical journey in the classical world when she started playing the cello at the age of four. After twelve years as a cellist, she opened her eyes to jazz and its singing tradition. Irma studied jazz vocals at Södra Latin’s high school in Stockholm and two years at the nationally renowned Skurup pre-college before moving to Berlin where she currently studies at the Jazz Institute Berlin. In recent years, Irma Neumüller has been successful on stages all over both Sweden and Germany. She has received several scholarships and is recurrently praised by jazz critics. Her debut album, "Introducing Irma Neumüller", was released on February 23, 2024 under the label Naxos/Prophone.
