Jesse Hughes is rooted in blues, hymns, jazz and Led Zeppelin. His music hints at jazz standards, Broken Social Scene, Explosions In The Sky and Pink Floyd. His voice has been likened to George Harrison, Elliott Smith and Thurston Moore. Stop Motion Animation started for Jesse in 2018. In 2020 won a grant from the Jazz Mafia with the Joyo Velarde and Stop Motion Music Video “when you come around.” November 2022 Jesse helped Lyrics Born with his new album Vision Board. A handcrafted Stop Motion Music Video for his song Alligator Boots. 2023 Jesse released ‘Dexterous Unconscious’ each song complete with a uplifting animation to go with. and after that an album including support from Adam Theis Shaina E and Jazz Mafia.
