Jimmy Regal and the Royals

This tough and howlin’ blues three piece has been gaining the attentions of blue fans around the world. Taking their inspiration from the blues of Mississippi, funky groves from New Orleans and then adding a touch of their own South London influence Jimmy Regal and the Royals play a blend of very original and exciting blues. The band have been exciting audiences up and down the country and are an ever present on the blues festival and club circuit. The band comprises CJ Williams on guitar AND bass. Undoubtedly one of the best guitarists around with a very unique style. Joff Watkins on harmonica and vocals- one of the finest harmonica players and much in demand and Sammy Samuels on drums who has the subtlety and power to drum up everything from a swamp boogie to a second line dancing march. Jimmy Regal and the royals have released two albums and an EP, including the much acclaimed second album “Late Night Chicken” which has received much radio play and get to no.2 on the IBBA charts. The band have been featured on dozens of radio stations including Radio 2 (Cerys Matthews blues show), Radio 4 and Jazz fm.
