Underground καλλιτέχνης indie hip hop
Meet Jodie B, an emerging indie hip-hop, blues, and bass music artist. With a powerful message promoting authenticity, kindness, and perseverance, Jodie's music resonates from the west coast of Canada. From busking at age 3 to international festival stages, her journey is a testament to the dedication of uplifting, inspiring and empowering voices that surround her. Armed with her purple bass, Fender Telecaster, and harmonica belt, Jodie delivers electrifying performances. Often accompanied by her sister Nique Blue on mandolin, saxophone, and guitar. Comparisons to Tash Sultana, FKJ, and Moontricks highlight Jodie's unique sound—hip hop breaks, moody bass swings, and rippin' harmonica. She has been grateful enough to have performed at festivals including Shambhala MF, Frendzy Fest, Wicked Woods, Intersect, Evolve, Denim on the Diamond. Has opened for artists such as The Pharcyde, DubFx, Method Man & Redman and has co-produced with features from Nino Bless, Slug from Atmosphere, MAYDAY!, Q from Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Kytami, Pineo & Loeb and more.
