Jr. CruiZa A.K.A. “The Short Boss” is an international DJ, producer, and dynamic entertainer known for his powerful energy and undeniable presence. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and proudly of St. Lucian and Trinidadian descent, CruiZa’s passion for music began at an early age. He started DJing at just 9 years old, inspired by a rich family legacy in music and entertainment—his father a DJ and his grandfather the former owner of Trinity Hall, one of Brooklyn’s largest and most influential Caribbean nightclubs throughout the 1980s and 90s. Over the years, CruiZa has built a reputation as a commanding performer, rocking some of the world’s biggest stages, including the Barclays Center, and serving as the main tour DJ for Soca artist Motto. In 2020, he expanded his artistry into music production, releasing his debut project Morning Ting Riddim. The project features multiple tracks, including his debut single “Simon Says” featuring MaddRass, and showcases his versatility and deep connection to Caribbean sound. CruiZa has also produced standout singles such as “Lolly” by MaddRass and “Breed Yuh” by Aquel J, further cementing his influence behind the scenes. Through his production work, high-energy performances, and widely praised SoundCloud mixes, he continues to gain international recognition while championing Caribbean music on a global scale. Known as “The Short Boss,” CruiZa lives up to the name—small in stature, but monumental in voice, vision, and stage presence.
