Julia Hofer

Julia Hofer, a highly regarded bassist and cellist in the German and Austrian music scenes, is a prominent figure in contemporary jazz and popular music. She is a member of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien and teaches at both the Gustav Mahler Private University in Klagenfurt and the Jam Music Lab in Vienna. Julia is also well- known online through numerous instructional and interview videos, primarily created for Thomann's YouTube channel. Her career includes performances on tours and appearances on television, such as ARD Sportschau during the European Championship 2021, ORF's Starmania, with the Heavytones, No Angels, and the Cream of Clapton Band. Julia has collaborated with legendary artists including Bootsy Collins, Nathan East, Steve Ferrone, and Hanno Busch. In 2024, she released her debut album with the trio "Hofer Busch Held." Starting in 2025, she has been collaborating on a duo project with David Helbock, with their debut album titled "Faces of Night" scheduled for release in September 2025
