Julian Pollack

Julian Pollack / J3PO is an established and award-winning keyboardist, composer, and producer. Described by Timeout New York as a musician who “deftly balances virtuosity with tenderness,” Julian has toured extensively with the legendary Marcus Miller, and has recorded/performed with the likes of Michael League (Snarky Puppy), The Lesson GK, DJ Premier, Kamasi Washington, Tierney Sutton, Grace Kelly, and many others. Last year, Julian (as J3PO) released his new album “Small Plates,” a collection of 12 tracks that range from simple lo-fi beats to complex jazztronica future house joints. Inspired by analog synths and sample-based music, Julian’s music fuses his love for today's contemporary production styles with a nod to the jazz tradition, concert music, and the spontaneity of improvisation. In addition to being known for his keyboard and productions chops, Julian is also known for his unique sound design. He has created very popular presets for a variety of instruments, including the Nord Stage 3, the Prophet 6, the OB-Xd and many other virtual synthesizers. This year, Julian composed and produced the music for the new film by Jared Douglas, The Sound Of The Wind. Julian lives in Los Angeles, California.
