Just Milk

Just Milk is an electronic music project based in Brooklyn, New York created by multidisciplinary artist, Tara Rook. Originally intended as an expression of the challenges of being a woman, experiencing heartache, and working with depression, her music has a recognizable healing quality. She blends beats, electronic, and organic elements to create accessible, yet meaningful, tracks that can be described as glowing synth pop, dark disco, and dreamy trip hop. She has produced one full length ambient album, “It’s Okay Honey, I Love You” along with a handful of singles, remixes, and DJ mixes. Just Milk performs her music either live with the SP404-SX or interweaving her produced tracks in curated DJ sets. Her vision is to continue developing as a producer and work with other like minded artists in the electronic music and hip hop community along with growing as a DJ and stepping up as an influential and inspiring selector of sounds.
