Νοσταλγικό, underground σχήμα gypsy jazz
“…Serra’s voice is graceful and sensual, an occasional added vibrato giving it a hint of the chanteuse. The sound is beautiful…” - All About Jazz La Bouche Manouche is a vintage jazz band influenced by the chic and sophisticated era of the jazz age and beyond. Their repertoire is rooted in the sound of gypsy jazz, with swing tunes from Django Reinhardt, as well as traditional gypsy swing tunes, charlestons, French chansons, bal musette and classic jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Featuring some of the hottest players in London, La Bouche Manouche was formed one hazy evening in a smoky Jazz Club in London Town when they took to the stage with their unique brand of sultry and vibrant jazz and wowed the crowds. With Irene Serra on vocals, Nathan Mansfield on soaring violin, Andy Ruiz Palma and Sol Grimshaw on melodic, rhythmic and pumping guitars, all underpinned by the solid and tasteful bass of Amy Baldwin, La Bouche Manouche is here to bring this timeless music right up close and personal. "Love Me Or Leave Me", "He's A Tramp" and "Petite Fleur" are the recent singles from their latest album "Got A Little Rhythm!" which has been released on the 5th of May 2023.
La Bouche Manouche plays vintage gypsy jazz and swing rooted in the Parisian Hot Club tradition, featuring classic standards and French chansons.
La Bouche Manouche is based in London, United Kingdom.
