Leslie Graves

Leslie is a songwriter and singer based in Brooklyn, New York. Raised in Grandview, Ohio, just outside Columbus, she began writing songs on guitar as a teenager and was drawn early to harmony singing and collaboration. At eighteen, she moved to New York City to study theatre. While there, she answered a Craigslist ad from Irish songwriter Mick Flannery looking for a harmony singer. Singing with Mick in venues around New York opened the door to the East Village anti-folk community, where she found many of her closest collaborators and lifelong friendships. Collaboration has remained at the heart of her musical life. Over the years, Leslie has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists and projects, including Toby Goodshank, Endless Arrows, Gold, Susan Hwang and the Relastics, They Would Be Happy People, and Enemies of the Secret Hideout. Alongside this work, she has continued to develop her own songwriting voice, exploring themes of longing, impermanence, interconnectedness, and transformation. Her album Hidden In the Days (2022) is a hypnotic work born of deep listening to the natural world. In 2025, she released Between Worlds, a collaborative album with Toby Goodshank on BB Island Records. Her forthcoming solo album, Outwaiting the Cloud, recorded in Ireland with Christian Best, will be released later this year on BB Island Records.
