A Grammy and Tony nominee and Emmy winner, Liz Callaway is best known as the singing voice of the title character in the Oscar-nominated Anastasia, Odette in The Swan Princess, Kiara in The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, and now as The Speaker of God in Hazbin Hotel Season 2 on Prime Video. Broadway fans know her for her starring roles in Cats, Miss Saigon, and Baby. With her sister, Ann Hampton Callaway, she sang the theme song to the hit TV series The Nanny. Born and raised in Chicago, Liz was very shy growing up, and would only sing when her family left the house. Then, with a hairbrush as her microphone, she’d sing to the original cast albums of Hair, Company, and A Chorus Line as well as anything by The 5th Dimension . At 18, she moved to NY with her sister Ann and a year later she landed her first Broadway show, Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along. She later received a Tony nomination for Baby, was the original Ellen in Miss Saigon and for 5 years played Grizabella in Cats, singing “Memory.” Liz has provided the singing voice for numerous animated movies, but her favorite is Anastasia. Her album To Steve With Love: Liz Callaway Celebrates Sondheim received a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Her ninth solo recording, The Wizard and I: Liz Callaway Sings Stephen Schwartz, was released on March 20, 2026. www.lizcallaway.com
