Lonesome Shack
Νοσταλγικός, ωμός καλλιτέχνης southern gothic
Lonesome Shack’s journey began in Alma, NM where songwriter Ben Day Todd learned folk and blues songs from old recordings and started writing songs in his home, the “Lonesome Shack”. The shack itself consisted of a small handmade shed that served as living room and kitchen connecting to a 16 ft travel trailer as the bedroom. It still stands at the edge of the Gila wilderness. Ben later moved to Seattle, WA and met longtime bandmates Kristian Garrard and Luke Bergman at Cafe Racer where they took up a weekly residency. Now the magnetic trio all live in different corners of the States but continue to meet up for recordings and performances, and Ben Day Todd can be seen playing solo around his hometown Escondido, CA.
