Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in LA’s Laurel Canyon during its music halcyon days, Louise Goffin is a multi-talented, modern-day renaissance woman. Her lyrics have grit and her songs have real life woven into them. She sings on the theme song for Gilmore Girls. She has been known to tour as a hired gun for other artists, including Tears For Fears. She released her debut album on Elektra/Asylum when she was 19. Between her own albums, Louise produced a Grammy-nominated record for Carole King, “A Holiday Carole“. The radio success of her Muscle Shoals recording and collaboration with Spooner Oldham, “Everybody’s Got A Story To Tell” started a roll with her latest, “The Great Unknown” (Nov 27, 2023) with radio stations already adding it to their playlists. Raised with songs her whole life, Louise has been songwriting since she was eight. From early Laurel Canyon days, she lived in the UK for a time but is now based in Los Angeles and Yucca Valley.
Louise Goffin plays a blend of folk rock, pop, and singer-songwriter music, often featuring lyrical depth and influences from her Laurel Canyon upbringing.
