Maciek Kądziela is a versatile saxophonist with a very open attitude. A graduate with honors from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, he studied with the likes of Steve Lehman, Joel Frahm, David Binney, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Steve Coleman, Will Vinson, Gary Tomas, George Garzone and Jerry Bergonzi. At the moment his focus is on two projects, Jazz Forum Talents and ZK Collaboration which he set up with the acclaimed drummer Adam Zagórski. On 1 st October, this latter band released its latest album, “Slow Food”, in the legendary Polish Jazz Series, issued since 1965 and now continued by Warner Music Poland.
Maciej Kądziela plays contemporary modern jazz, featuring sophisticated alto saxophone improvisation and intricate original compositions with groups like ZK Collaboration.
