Meka Maraschino is a New York born, Puerto Rican & Kenyan, Jazz Artist. At just 17 years old, Meka uploaded her first ever musical project, “Paradise Island” on SoundCloud. The EP filled with covers from Brenda Lee to the BeeGees, and samples pulled from 60s icons like Neil Sedaka & Nancy Sinatra, Meka solidified herself as a strong new wave Jazz artist right out the gate. Throughout her career she has expanded her sound from ballads to funk tracks, while remaining loud and proud of her vintage musical influences within her visuals and sound. This New Jersey raised artist not only pushes boundaries in the musical world, but is also a Licensed cosmetologist and passionate Beautician & visual artist outside of her soundscape.
