Στιλάτο, underground σχήμα deathrock
Miguel and the Living Dead are a Polish band formed in Warsaw in 2001. From its inception, the band made it clear that music and image would go hand in hand, drawing heavily on classic horror cinema, B-movies and the raw aesthetics of the 1980s underground. Their live shows fuse dark theatrical flair with punk energy. The band made its live debut in 2004 and quickly earned a reputation on the Polish and European underground circuit. Their debut album Alarm!!! (2005), released by the Austrian label Strobelight Records, received strong underground press support and led to extensive touring across Europe, including the enthusiastically received performance at the legendary Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Germany. The follow-up album Postcards From The Other Side (2007) further cemented their position within the gothic and punk scene. After several years of hiatus, Miguel and the Living Dead returned in 2017 as an international act operating between Poland and the UK. The new material has been highly anticipated by fans for years. In June 2025, the band released the single and video Hyenaz!, giving a first glimpse into this new chapter. In 2026, Miguel and the Living Dead signed with Polish independent label Piranha Music, which will release the EP Hyenaz! as well as a full-length album VII: This Is Not My Blood later that same year.
Miguel and the Living Dead play a theatrical blend of deathrock, horror punk, and gothic rock heavily inspired by classic 1980s underground sounds and B-movies.
