Momoko Gill is a self-taught drummer, producer, songwriter, and vocalist whose collaborations with Matthew Herbert, Alabaster DePlume, Coby Sey, Tirzah, and Nadeem Din-Gabisi - alongside extensive touring as a drummer, keyboardist, and vocalist - have shaped her distinctive approach to composition and production. Now, she steps forward with her own solo project, marking a new chapter in her artistic evolution. Though deeply influenced by jazz, Gill rejects imitation, sculpting her sound through feel and expression rather than tradition. Developing her skills in harmony, drums, keys, and vocals through instinct, collaboration, and solitary study, she seeks clarity in both musical ideas and storytelling. With a voice that carries both intimacy and depth, Momoko continues to push the boundaries between genres, storytelling, and sonic experimentation, forging a path uniquely her own.
