Mona Matsuoka is an emerging vocalist and musical artist. She’s spent years walking the runwayas an in-demand model for Chanel, Kenzo, Dior ect.- all whilst moonlighting as a killer DJ in Manhattan’s exclusive velvet rope nightclub circuit. With an unmistakably New York sound that stretches from downtown indie rock, disco and proto-house to cutting edge Brooklyn techno, Mona is now walking her own path as an artist - combining city-life stories and her Japanese city-pop heritage with production assistance from producers Matt FX and Kristos. She is a resident DJ at farm-to-turntable hotspot Jeans, a former woman of the Year for Vogue Japan, and is making her musical debut with ‘Kawasaki (Original Mix) ’ and ‘Taka ’ for Non-Friction Records .
