Mononome

Mononome is a musician/producer hailing from Thessaloniki, Greece. Releasing music under the moniker since 2011, he soon accomplished to become one of the key figures of his generation within the European beat-producing scene. 
 Starting off with sampling, and presently based on a mixture of it along with live instrumentation and electronics, Mononome managed to create a characteristic sound, blurring the lines between future beats and old school. 
 His breakthrough album “Come Close” released in 2012 led to multiple tours across Europe, playing festivals and venues sharing the stage with the likes of Wax Tailor, Chinese Man, Thievery Corporation, Nightmares On Wax, DJ Krush, Ras G and Gramatik. 
 His work has been praised and received airplay by radio stations such as "BBC", “KCRW”, Paris-based “NOVA” and “Le Mellotron” and has been featured on the “BandCamp Daily” column of the renowned platform.
