NNancy (en-nen-see) Hey, I’m Nancy. I’m half Russian, half Ukrainian. I was supposed to be a doctor, dreamt of becoming one since I was 6. I spent 7 years studying medicine, chasing stability, doing everything "right". When I was 16, I finished music school, with 7 years of music theory and classical singing. Music was always there, but it was just a hobby. Until 24th of February 2022, when everything I relied on fell apart. I started writing every day, letting the lyrics speak what I couldn’t say out loud.. Music became the only thing that never left, the only thing that truly understood. And for the first time, I felt what people meant when they said "music heals", because it saved me. That’s when I knew I wanted to do the same for others - to help, through music. I struggled with my mental health for years, and those were the years I wrote the most. But I don’t just write sad songs. I’m more than my sadness and traumas. We all are. There’s real beauty in this mess of becoming, in knowing we’re all here to learn, in feeling deeply, in slowly unfolding into who we’re meant to be - better humans. I’m still figuring life out.. but there’s one thing I’m sure of: I once dreamed of healing bodies. Now, I want to heal souls. And if my songs can be a hand to hold, then I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
