Ofelia's self-titled debut album, with singles "Zaraz", "Tu", "Ćma" and "Dwa słowa" was very well received both by the media and fans. During the pandemic lockdown, the singer (real name Iga Krefft) recorded the whole album live, and released it to streaming platforms as "Księgi Ofeliowe". Soon after, Ofelia started to work on her new full-length "Osiem". Kuba Karaś (The Dumplings, Karaś/Rogucki) joined her as the album producer. The record was preceded by singles "Zakochana w bicie (Miranda)" oraz "Słony kiss (Lisa)".
