Optical Sun

Band from Lublin (Poland) formed in 2017. The idea from the first jam session was simple - we play slow and hard. Then some instrumental music came out, which is a combination of sludge, stoner, doom metal. All this in the dark atmosphere of movie texts about devils and other demons. The first EP of the band was released on September 15, 2018 (in the digital version). Record, mix and master was taken by Haldor Grunberg from Satanic Audio, who also added synths to the songs. Currently, Optical Sun focuses on promoting their album, planning first concerts and polishing new songs. The music of the band will be best described by the first text from the album: "If the beginning scares you, the end will kill.” The samples spoken in the EP came from the film "A friend of the merry devil" (directed by Jerzy Łukaszewicz), which scares the generations of Poles in the 80's and 90’s. This was adaptation of the novel by well-known Polish writer Kornel Makuszyński. The dialogues were prepared by Jerzy Łukaszewicz and Andrzej Strąk.
 As Jerzy Łukaszewicz wrote after listening to the CD: „This is the atmosphere of this mysterious „energy" that was with us during the filming."
 Dialogues were appropriately selected for what the music expresses by our bass player Marcin Jerzyna and Haldor Grunberg.
