Oranžās Brīvdienas

Oranžās Brīvdienas, also known as OB or “Orange Holidays”, is a seven-piece Latvian balagan punk orchestra. OB fuse ska, punk, metal and disco, laced with reggae and Eastern-European swagger. The result is a joyous, socially aware noise built for sweaty clubs and open-air festivals alike. The band’s fourth album “Ārā” (2024) took the Latvian Music Award for Best Rock/Metal/Punk Album, cementing OB as one of Latvia’s most explosive live acts. In 2025, following the loss of frontman Speiss, the band moved forward with Chakste, a 20-year member formerly on mandolin/guitar and backing vocals, stepping into lead vocals. That same year, OB toured India and Nepal. Previous albums “Everybody Tancevaķ” (2011), “Spīd” (2013) and “Tilti” (2015) brought national recognition: “Spīd” and “Tilti” received annual award nominations, the concert movie “Pa Kājām” was shortlisted for live video (2014), and the single “Debesis Vaļā” scored radio success and became a fan favorite.
