Otala is a post-rock band based in London consisting of Oscar Thorpe, Rory Allen, Charlotte Foulkes, and Jacob Wing. A band often defined by their rejection of genre limitations, Better Than The End acts as a fresh and unique branch on the ever expanding tree of Otala’s musicality, tumbling from syrupy harmonies into deep, swelling post-rock crescendos with grace. From the immediacy of the opening track, A Chase, to the sprawling odyssey of the two part Lord Only Knows, Better Than The End refuses to pull a punch.
