Underground καλλιτέχνης post-punk
Singer/guitarist Jeremy Marquez (Brooklyn) and bassist Ben Griffin (Philly) formed the project after connecting through a network of friends. The duo bonded over a shared admiration for contemporaries such as Preoccupations, Ought, and Protomartyr, and classic groups like The Fall, Joy Division, and Bloc Party. They honed a driving, high-energy punk sound and became notable for their infectious live performances. Their latest EP “Cause// Effect” ushered in a new phase for the band leaning towards a heavier sound and sentimental lyricism. With songs that attempt to speak about the chaos, uncertainty, and anxiety of our current moment, Pamphlets position themselves as an unabashedly political call to action.
Pamphlets plays high-energy post-punk and indie punk, drawing influences from bands like Joy Division and The Fall.
