Rafael Jerjen

MaxMantisHe is a walking cosmos of musical creativity and buzzes with excitement, whilst pulling the strings. His powerful playing and creative compositions make Rafael Jerjen a nationally and internationally recognized double bassist and composer. After earning his Bachelor’s degree at the Australian National University, the Basel City native completed his Master’s in Jazz Performance at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). Since 2022, he is artistic professor for double bass at the same institution. Jerjen stood on the largest of stages and sat in the smallest of studios with various groups and renowned musicians, including Mike Moreno, Andy Sheppard, Jim Hart, Nelson Veras, Tineke Postma, Joao Barradas, Michael and Florian Arbenz, and Kristin Berardi.Green
