About the Project: Răzvan Florescu Quartet brings a fresh approach to contemporary jazz, blending modern jazz elements with world music influences, subtle classical undertones, and an electrifying edge. The group is committed to delivering dynamic and memorable performances, pushing boundaries while staying true to the essence of jazz. About the Album: The quartet's debut album, Sketches (2024), features 8 original compositions by vibraphonist Răzvan Florescu. The album explores diverse musical textures and emotions, traversing multiple stylistic genres while maintaining an eclectic, unifying vibe. Sketches is a reflection of the ensemble's creativity and passion for improvisation. About Răzvan Florescu: Răzvan Florescu is a vibraphonist and composer with a rich academic and artistic background. A graduate of the National University of Music Bucharest, he has studied both jazz and classical percussion. His career spans collaborations with renowned ensembles, orchestras, and prestigious festivals across Romania and Europe. As a band leader, Răzvan continues to innovate and inspire through his work with the Răzvan Florescu Quartet.
