Rosie From The Block

Rosie From The Block’s a Brussels based multi-instrumentalist, composer, music producer and DJ. She’s inspired by Afro-American music from the 70’s and 80’s as well as black music from UK such as acid jazz, street soul and broken beat. This can be heard in her warm, soulful sets as well as in her unique productions that are often driven by syncopated grooves, jazzy chord progressions and gospel-like vocal arrangements. 
Rosie’s music caught attention and support from big names worldwide and she’s released music on labels such as Vice City (Antwerp) , Phuture Shock Musik (Bristol) , Boogie Cafe Records (Bristol), Wicked Wax (Amsterdam), Good Vibrations (Bristol) and Natural Element (London) and has a radio show on Kiosk Radio (Brussels). Rosie’s performed in venues such as The Jazz Cafe and Rich Mix (London), Paradiso (Amsterdam) and Ancienne Belgique (Brussels).
